Built in 1936, the Obelisk (El Obelisco) is strategically placed in the middle of the Avenida 9 de Julio in Buenos Aires, is the site where the Argentinian flag was raised for first time, currently is considered an icon of the City, is a meeting place for political manifestations, musical events, and celebrations of the Argentinian soccer teams victories.

The Tango es the gift from Argentina to the world, this sensual dance is extremely popular, Buenos Aires city celebrates the "Tango Day" in December, Carlos Gardel, known as "El Zorzal Criollo" is the most representative Tango singer of all times
THE GAUCHOS
The wanderers of the pampas, could be the equivalent of the Norteamerican Cowboys, the Colombian Llaneros, or the Mexican vaqueros,
they are tireless horsemen, romantic icons. Gauchos has historical significance. Roberto Fontanarrosa featured the gauchos in the comic book Inodoro Pereyra and his talking dog Mendieta.
THE MATE
The Mate is the national drink of Argentina, is consumed on a regular basis by 92% of Argentineans, made using dried leaves of yerba mate, is served with a metal straw from a shared hollow calabash and a straw called bombilla.
